Fall wedding guest look

It’s hard to believe that it’s already the end of October and the wedding I’ve been looking forward to all year has come and gone. My aunt married her sweetheart yesterday and it was so wonderful to witness. I cried a few happy tears during the ceremony and might have cried more if I wasn’t trying to avoid smearing my eyeliner.

It was nice to have so much family together too. All my aunt’s nieces and nephews were able to come. I don’t think my cousins and I had all been together for 10 years or so.

I’m surprised that I bought my dress at the end of August and it’s already no longer on the Target website. Maybe it was popular. I know I like it.

The dress seemed perfect for a fall wedding because of the dark color. I love how the pink and blue flowers give it an interesting look. It’s also super comfy and has a great fit as a maternity dress. I wonder if I can pull it off as a dress for postpartum too.

Paul took those first few photos at the begining of the reception, after dinner but before drinks. I wanted to wear those shoes, but it wouldn’t be smart to wear them the whole night, especially with me being pregnant. So right after those first few photos, we walked to the car and I changed to flat sandals.

I had also brought a black blazer along in case it got cold, but I didn’t wear it until I got in the car to go home at the end of the night. Thankfully it wasn’t too hot yesterday, it just wasn’t cool either. California has still been warm for most of October.

If I’m remembering right, we’ve had weddings in October for the last three years in my family. It’s fun to think about.

I would love to hear what you have to say. Leave me a comment and I'll try to write back soon.
