Changing of the leaves: Fall goals

Fall goals

Fall is one of my favorite times of year, although I do love the start of summer too. the changing of the leaves makes me think that I can start anew too, even more than in spring. It reminds me of a quote from one of my favorite novels, The Great Gatsby. “Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.”

In just a few days I’ll be starting my last quarter in college. It’s such an exciting time. I’m determined to stay excited about this time in my life and not get bogged down by all of the milestones that are coming up. On my fall goal list  are some things that I have been meaning to do for more than a year and others that I have just begun thinking about lately.

1. Get another internship

2. Read at least three books

3. See a fun live TV taping and/or a play

4. Submit articles to magazines and/or websites

5. Redesign this blog

6. Purchase a car and drive said car

7. Workout at least three times a week

8. Start scrap booking

8. Get better at photography and gain confidence in abilities

9. Run a 5K

10. Work on budgeting money

After being without a car for two years, I have enough money saved up for a down payment on a used car. It’s going to be super exciting to become more mobile and independent., especially while graduation approaches and I’m starting to look for a full time job. But, before I graduate I still have to get an approved internship. Unfortunately the one I started couldn’t get approved. Of course, I want to keep working on writing and photography, as well as web skills such as learning more about HTML and CSS. To stay healthy and happy, I also put a few fun habit goals on my list. Looking over the list again, I think this fall should be pretty good.

As I said, it’s an ambitious list, but I’m confident that I can make these things happen. Wish me luck!

I would love to hear what you have to say. Leave me a comment and I'll try to write back soon.
